Cabinet Secretary meets Institute Board and Management

The Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry Hon. Lee Kinyanjui, accompanied by Dr. Juma Mukhwana, the Principal Secretary, State Department for Industry, held a consultative meeting with the Institute's Board and Management under the leadership of Chairman Allan Kosgey.

The meeting reviewed the progress made by the Board and highlighted milestones achieved including the introduction of the Geographical Indications Bill, 2026 and Kenya Intellectual Property Bill, 2026. The Cabinet Secretary and Principal Secretary further underscored the Government's commitment to promote Intellectual Property as a means to enhancing innovation and building the economy in line with HE The President's Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA). Other Board Members who were in the meeting are Richard Muteti, Ruth Wanyonyi, Evelyn Mbaabu, Victoria Kaigai and Managing Director, John Onyango.
